Altenew Build-A-Flower Blog Hop + Giveaway + Video

Hello and welcome to the Altenew Build-A-Flower Blog Hop!!! I'm so excited join this hop today! I hope you came from amazing Laura Bassen but if not, please check the full blog hop list in the bottom of this post.

I made a card with gorgeous Build-A-Flower: Rose for today's blog hop. I absolutely love Altenew's layering stamps, especially roses!

VIDEO TUTORIAL

A detailed process of this card you can watch here on this post or in HD at my YouTube channel.

Thank you so much for watching!

CARD DETAILS

I started by stamping three roses from Build-A-Flower: Rose.

For the pink rose I used Altenew Crisp Inks in shades: Frosty Pink, Cotton Candy, Coral Berry, Ruby Red, Purple Wine and Cosmic Berry+Ruby Red.

For the red rose I used Blush, Rouge, Crimson, Velvet, Grapevine, Espresso+Velvet.

For the leaves I used Sand Dunes, Rocky Shore, Mocha and Espresso Altenew Crisp inks.

I die cut the images using their coordinating dies.

Then, I added selective dry embossing onto Altenew Blush cardstock using my bone folder and scoring board and splattered it with white paint.

Next, I foam mounted the roses and the leaves on the card front using foam tape to give some dimension.

I stamped my sentiment from Birds of a Feather stamp set with clear embossing ink on a stripe of white cardstock. Then I heat embossed it with platinum embossing powder.

To finished my card I've added a few clear sequins and foam mounted my card into white card base.

  70. I really like how you did the slightly different tone of red on one of the roses. I wouldn't have done that, because I would have thought the colors would be too close and clash, but I was wrong, because that just adds a lot of interest.
